UFC 97: REDEMPTION
KSOS DEFEATS BRIAN STANN IN THE FIRST ROUND VIA KIMURA EARNING HIM SUBMISSION OF THE NIGHT!!!

This was Krzysztof's eighth fight as a light heavyweight (including his fights on The Ultimate Fighter) and had no problems weighing in at 205lbs.  

Krzysztof started his career as a heavyweight and had fought some tough competition including UFC veterans Mike Whitehead and Dan Christison.  However, after his last fight with the International Fight League (IFL) Soszynski decided it was time for a change.  

In April 2008, KSOS heard the UFC was getting ready to tape season 8 of 'The Ultimate Fighter' and felt it was time to make his UFC dream a reality.  You can read more about Krzysztof's experiences on 'The Ultimate Fighter' by clicking on the link below.

KSOS showed tremendous heart and showed us that he can stand with the best of them. He lost to a decision but is determined to come back stronger and harder next time. "I just wasn't myself" said a disappointed Soszynski after the fight.

KSOS will have elbow surgery in October but will be back in the gym as soon as he can.

KSOS GETTING READY FOR UFC 102 IN PORTLAND, OR.

Soszynski (19-8-1) faces his toughest opponent yet at UFC 102 and will square off against Brandon 'The Truth' Vera (10-3).  KSOS was offered the fight after Matt Hamill pulled out due to an injury. Krzysztof gladly accepted the fight and is excited for the opportunity.

KO Makes It 3-0

Soszynski impresses fans with another UFC victory! With only 3 weeks to prepare for his third UFC fight, KSOS demonstrated he was more than ready to rock with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blackbelt Andre Gusmao.

The fight had the two on their feet from start to finish until KSOS landed a devestating left straight followed by a right hook knocking out Gusmao.  Soszynski landed two more punches before referee Herb Dean called a stop to the fight.

KSOS walked out with a huge smile on his face Saturday night at the Bell Center for UFC 97 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  Who could blame him?!?! He had the entire arena cheering him on as he rocked out to System of a Down's song Radio/Video.  Soszynski entered the octagon and made his way over to opponent Brian Stann giving him a hug and saying: 'This is awesome!!!'. 

Even more awesome was the Kimura finish in the first round.  This is one of Krzysztof's favorite submissions and he proved why once again.  KSOS walked away with an impressive bonus for submission of the night.

We saw Krzysztof Soszynski on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Finale on Spike TV December 13, 2008.  He faced fellow TUF season 8 cast member, Shane Primm, resulting in his first official UFC win via Kimura submission.
